ABOUT CA CPT

CPT Is Entrance Level Exam For CA Course and if you want to enter in CA Course Your First step is pass this exam.

CPT commonly known as Common Proficiency Test is the entrance exam for one of the most reputed courses in the Country- CA (Chartered Accountant). The exam is held twice every year in the months of June and December wherein students can register after class X and give the exam after class XII.

It is an objective type examination that consists of 200 multiple choice questions from four sections, viz. Accounting, Mercantile Law, Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. To qualify the exam a candidate has to score 30% in all the sections and 50% aggregate.

The exam is exempted for Graduates and Post Graduates or candidates having equivalent degrees in effect from August 3, 2012. Graduates from commerce stream can sit directly in IPCC examinations,provided they have scored at least 55% in their graduations.

RESULT UPDATE

The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India will declare the results of Chartered Accountants (CA) final examination and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) on January 17, around 2 pm. 

The examination was conducted in November/December, 2015. If you wish to get the result on your mail box, then get it registered on the official website of ICAI.
